In your case, are you both filing seperately using two visa numbers or one filing first and other filing later, but using the primary applicant A#.
In case of the first option,both are treated seperately. In the second option, both are treated seperately, but the failure of the primary dependent processing, can affect the second one, if the second is not adjucated before primary.
