When 'Name Change' is involved - signature on photo vs Naturalization certificate?

More a question out of curiosity:

Say you ask for name change with N-400 application.

When you interview, you sign the name on photo with old name.
Name change occurs, and printed on Natz certificate.

Now, wont ur photo and "signature" on Natz certificate vary???
I ask this, since many say they should "match" to be called valid.

Or is Name change an exception case?

I guess they are able to replace your photo with new ones and then ask you to sign both of them same way with new name.
Are you changing your name from Crosshair to RedCross? or CrossFinger?

JK :D

this is take from my wife's blog when she naturzlized:

"The interview officer asked me to sign my new name on the photo.

The naturazlization certificate was printed with my new name only.

I signed my new name the certificate, exactly the same way I signed the photos.

The naturalization certificate was presented to me with with photo(with new name) glued to it, with my new name printed and my signature in new name."

If you signed your old name on the photos, then it was a mistake and you'll need new photos, since it will not match the name and signature on the naturalization certificate. :(
