When is the welcome letter sent?

Hi all,

It's been close to a month since I got PS, and I was glad to see that my card was order a couple of days back. I have not received though the "welcome letter" yet. Reading through the posts I noticed that it comes much earlier than the card. Can someone let me know if I should be worried? What does that letter say?

I do not think you should be worried about welcome letter at all.

You will get your card in the mail, keep checking the status till you see "card mailed" message...

Welcome letter

Hi,

You will receive a welcome letter only if you are interviewed. If you are not interviewed then your permanent resident status is registered upon your approval. This registration of permanent residence is what the welcome letter is all about.
 
Finally really really over now!
