When/How to contact USCIS/Info Pass?

I applied for GC in Nov 2009. My interview was on Jan 21st, 2010. Everything was fine - the IO informed me that he needs to wait for my Alien Registration file to arrive from another state.

Fast forward today - I am still waiting on the decision. The online processing time for Columbus, OH shows

Field Office Processing Dates for Columbus OH as of: January 31, 2010 is October 03, 2009

Called up USCIS - they told me to wait till the processing time beyond the date I applied i.e. wait for couple of more months and then they will assign a case # for the delay. Looked up to book Info Pass appointment - that system needs a case # which USCIS assigned.

What should I do?

Any suggestions?
 
When it ask for the A# put the one that is on the receipt for the I-485. With the case number, I would recommend the receipt number for your I-485 case.
 
Not sure if you understood my question - USCIS assigns a case # when you open an inquiry. That Case # is needed when you book the InfoPass appt.

Anyone with suggestions as to what to do?
