when could be likely interview date

Hey Guys,

Here are few of my details,

Fee bill rcvd 12/09/02
Fee bill sent 12/13/02
Rcvd P3 on 1/21/03
Mailed P3 on 2/3/03
NVC completed review on 3/4/03
NVC forwarded to chennai on 3/13/03

Mail rvcd from chennai that it could be may or june.

Based on the othe cp guys, when do you think is the likely hood of getting interview ?

Also, if anyone can let me know if we need to fill up I864 now and get it notorized here in US.

Your case is on the border. Most likely you will get May interview, since Consulate acknowledged that they have received packect 3 before 3/15/03.

Generally they have 15th a cut-off date to determine the interview schedules. In some cases I have observed the cut-off date as 20th of the month.

My case is also send to Chennai on 03/13/03. Did you get confirmation from Chennai consulate that they received Packet3?

Rajkt, i sent them email asking about likely interview date. They did not confirm recieving packet 3 , but instead they said likely may or june contact us again in april.

Have you sent out an email to consulate yet ? If not i would suggest you wait for couple more days before you do that.

Any of you guys have a check list of documents what we need to take with us for the interview

The official list of the requirements needed for the interview is posted on the US Consulate website (surely on New Delhi's) and also comes in Packet 4. There are other docs which CPers take for their peace of mind and for any situations that couls possible arise.

Required Docs:
1. Passport
2. Photos
3. Biographic data form (DS 230 part 2)
4. birth certificate
5. Marraige certificate (if married)
6. Termination of previuos marriage (if divorcee)
7. Proof of relationship (Usually for family based immigrations)
8. Police report (PCC from Indian consulate, if individual is presently in US)
9. Affidavit of support (I-134 for each dependent)
10. Medical report
11. Fee (Any unpaid fees, or courier fees, as applicable)

Other docs, usually taken by CPers:
1. Pay stubs
2. Employment letter
3. Tax papers (for last 3 years)

This is all, I could remeber. If I have missed any important doc, please chime in.

It may be prudent to take along:

  • All previous H1s, F1s, EADs, APs, I-485 receipt etc.
    Apartment lease-papers / Home ownership deeds.
    Company brochures, annual reports.
    Company financial statements.
    Degree certificates/transcripts.
    Any work experience letters used for labor certificate.
    Also, if your spouse is employed, it is better to carry an employer letter for him/her too.
    Marriage photographs, marriage invitation card.

Urgent !!!

Do I only have to mail form DS-230 Part I & II in my Packet 3 or do I have to send all those listed documents like police clearance, mariage certificate, divorce decree e.t.c. Please advise guys?

oluyi,

With packet 3 you need to send only DS 230 part I and the barcode sheet which mentions your case number. Do not forget to write your case number on DS 230 form on top right hand corner.
