When can one find A#(number)

Can anybody tell me where can one find A# . I mean on which document ? I was only aware of WAC number so far.

If you have applied for I-485, then the A# or Alien Registration Number will be there on the I-485 receipt notice.

This is a very important number (next to social securiy number) for all the permanent residents and it will stay with them as long as they are in permanet resident status.

Anyone who applies for I-485 gets a A-# listed either on your FP appointment notice or I-485 receipt.
