In order to comply with one year physical absence from United States, I left the country on Jan 2006 after being on H1B visa for six years. I currently don't have a LCA or GC petitioned.
The company lawyer advised me that I could file for H1B petition after six months of leaving US which in my case would be from June 2006, but needed to wait the whole year before I can re-enter US and start working on the new H1B. Can someone here confirm if this is accurate.
