My employer sponsored GC is taking forever. June 2005 I got the initial approval notice, fingerprints/biometrics done in January 2006, I-190 approval came through in May (though they made the university change it from E2 to E3, but then when the approval came through, it was for E2). Still no news on the I-485.
I started the labour certification back in late 2000 and I just sent in the paperwork for the extension of my H1B (I started the process under TN, got my first H1B so I could file the I485). The process is moving along on the geological time scale and the university people tell me that it could take longer than another year - if USCIS reverts to E3 and I have to wait for a number.
Does anyone know if there's a way to track the process better than the web site? I've called the service centre but end up being on hold so long I can never wait (calling from work).
Any help would be appreciated...
