Hi everyone!
I have my interview scheduled for January but still haven't received the 2nd package (I should be expecting it to come in december). I would like to know if anyone could tell me what the second package contains and if there is anything I could be doing in advance (ex. fingerprints). I already have all documents listed in the first package received from Kentucky Consular Center.
Thank you very much!

it contains the invitation for the interview - not necessary, since you will be on the list at the consulate. Get your medical done, get other docs (like police certificates), you will be fingerprinted at the consulate. Good luck!

Family members come to interview?

Dear Lucymo,

Thank you so much for your reply. I was very ansious because I thought that I should have fingerprints done before the interview.
I have ALL documents ready!
I called KCC and they already told me my interview date. I have one question, though. Since I am married, do you know if my husband needs to be at the interview with me?

Thank you so much for your help. Your contribution to this forum has been very valuble!

if your husband needs an immigrant visa, he also needs to go to the interview. Does he need the visa? did you fill out DS-230 for him?

as for fingerprints before the interview - that's for those who are doing adjustment of status.

Dear LucyMo,

Yes, I have filled form 230 part II for my husband. Kentucky Consular Center sent it to me in the first mail.
The American Consulate called me couple of days ago to see if I could come to the interview two weeks earlier than the scheduled date. I said that it would be fine since I have ALL documents with me already.
I asked about my husband and they said he must come to the interview with me.
We are very ansious but, at the same time, very happy about the interview.
Well, wish me luck!
I'll let you all know how everything went.
THANK YOU!
Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!
