Hi, all,

What's "file I-485 under AC21" mean? Is that diff from normal
filing I-485?

I was laid off less than 180 days after I filed I-485, I just file
it without doing anything special. That was Oct 2001. Is that ok?

Can any nice people give me some details about filing RFE or interview under AC21?

Thanks a lot.

I don't think you should do anything special. If there is an RFE for your employment, you can use your new employer's letter and state that under AC21, your new job is similar to your previous job for which the I140 was filed.

As for over/under 180 days, it may not matter since there are a few people on this board who have stated that they got approved using Ac21 without waiting for 180 days to change jobs. In fact I don't know if INS would go and check when you changed jobs.

Celina,

Look into the thread "485 Portability" - there are lots of info.

As long as the 485 IS PENDING >180 days, AC21 applies - see murthy.com FAQ on AC21. or Carl Shusterman's website for AC21. Does not matter when you changed job [read sponsor].
