Hi, Friends and Experts
I am preparing my interview (11/29, San Jose) and wondering what would happen if I failed to pass the civil and government knowledge test: Should I re-apply over or just another interview?

In the test preparation,

Should I be able to write all answers correctly (even spelling) to 100 sample questions? It is difficult to write the spelling of 13 original states 100% correctly.

I am also worry about my heavy accent (Chinese-English) when I orally answer the questions. Do I have options to choose written or oral for Civil and Government Knowledge

Your every advice and help is highly appreciated.

Best Regards!

first, good luck in your interview in advance.

if you failed the civil / history test, i *believe* they would ask you for another interview. they would just ask you the questions from the 100 sample questions.

I do not think you could have a choice to select the way you want to answer the questions thou. if the interviewer asks you to read the questions loud and answer them, i would think you have to do what you would be told.

don't even worry about it..

Don't even worry about it. my wife had her interview last year..she said they only ask questions from the 100 list. she also said they are very easy... you often find an answer for one question in an other question...read carefully and don't rush. you can take as much time as you want. You don't have to get 100%. One more tip...I was told that there are sample tests on the USCIS website. you can take as many tests as you want. good luck

one more thing I forgot to tell you is you are under the impression that they will ask you 100 questions. that is not true. you will only get about 10 or even less than that. the whole test will take approxmately anywhere from 10 to 15min and thats it. good luck

What else do they ask in interview other than from those 100 questions? Can anyone post here, Please.

Thanks :)

I had my interview on Oct. I was asked 4 questions (verbally), all from the list of 100. How many branches of the govt, name them, how many senators, name senators from CA. Then I was asked to write 1 sentence in english, " I work as xxx at company yyyy". That's it. Don't worry too much.

One question about the names of the senators.. Do they ask you for the senators' names only from your state or could it be from any state?

Just remember the sentaors of your own state. Noone is able to remember all 100 senator's names corresponding with the state, atleast I can't.
