what will happen... when I-140 or I485 denied?

I am going to file I-140 and 485 concurrently based on a labor substitution. If I am not on 7th year h1 extension, and for some reason I-140 or 485 got denied, then what will be the status? And what are steps needs to be taken?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this happen, then you will be out of status. You can not change to another status in US. Must leave. This is from my laywer.
