Since there are only three months left for fiscal year 2005, I'm quite curious what might be the cut off date for GC. According to the forum, INS is approving cases as late as April 2000, and INS is issuing REFs as late as May 2001. If they will approve the cases till May 2001 (assuming all the REF cases should be approved within 2005), then we will see tons of approvals for the coming three months, since I guess there at least thousands of cases between April 2000 and May 2001 (more than one year gap). Any comments?

Hi guys,

I am new in this forum and first of all would like to say thank you all so much, you guys are doing great job. For me it was like, walking in the dark for more than four years and suddenly someone turns on the light. I am asylee too and waiting for my Green Card.
My case development is in this order:

09-99 Applied for asylum
10-99 First fingerprints taken
02-00 Recomended asylum approval
02-00 Second fingerprints taken
03-00 Asylum approval notice
02-01 Application to adjust to PRS received date(02-28-01)
03-01 Application to adjust to PRS notice date (03-05-01)
04-04 Third fingerprint notification
05-04 Third fingerprints taken

No contacts from USCIS since.Does anyone knows if I might be getting close, or it is false alarm?
One thing I do have to mention, is that I changed my address before the last fingerprinting and forgot to put my DOB on AR-11(change of address). So USCIS sent me the form back to correct that, which I followed up, addressed the issue. It gives me the feeling that they called me to get my fingerprints just to verify that is really me. I am little confused that I did not hear from them after 05-04.
One more thing, i am still trying to catch up with all of abriviations that you guys using here, if somebody can do me a favor and post them. It would realy help. Thanks and keep up good work. :)

What you guys thinking the time line for our GC? This year or Next year? :) Please keep updated if anyone get any information about I-485 ND 2001.
Good luck everyone.

bonehead011! you are going to hear a lot of "false alarms" from CIS before anything real happens. So be patient and enjoy your life.

Welcome, bonehead011!

You guys see: bonehead011 applied for asylum in 09-99. I applied in 03/1993. He/she got approved in 03/00, and I got approved in 05/00. The damned INS wasted my life of 6 years because of the cursed last come first serve policy.

Go to hell as early as possible, Mr. Clinton! I used to even like you the piece of holy shit. I will be a republican.

Hi everybody,
I had my fingerprints taken third time on 05-12-04 ( I-485 received Feb-28-2001; notice date March-05-2001). USBCIS did not contact me since. However, i did notice that several members of this forum got requests from immigration for medical and some further info (their i-485's received several months after mine). My congratulations to them and i hope they will get GC's before the end of this summer. My question to anyone who has either personal experience or from someone they know is; Should I be concerned that I did not get RFI yet, or USBCIS does not necessary works in chronological order? Thanks.

Just calm down folks. In July, you will see mass mailing of GC approvals. As it with every government entity, they try to process all of their work in last few months of the FY to get attention about Budget Needs & concerns.

You see Govt offices get their allocated budget for fiscal years. I work for the U.S Government and I had been wanting a DVD duplicator since January but my boss processed it just now to be delieverd in Late August..When asked why..his answer was that to show the office of budget management that resources are still needed"Until" the end of Fiscal year..

So in the next Fiscal year, when it comes time for money allocation..its seen when the money was used and spent....My request for a duplicator was of $3000 but my boss told me that it has to be OVER $20,000 or else it wont be approved..go figure!!...

Its all politics..and sadly ASylees get the bad end of it...

Cut off date for 2005

According to the latest CIS's projected processing time frame, the cut off date for this fiscal year was May 30, 2000 but people have been receiving approval e-mails from late July (July 26, 2000) notice dates as late as yesterday. So my guess is that nobody really knows at this point except CIS itself.

I just received my LPR approval

Just give you an idea for the processing time from my case:

May 1, 200, I485 receipt
May 2004, FP
May 2005, medical exam and bio
may 31, 2005, approved

On USCIS website, there is no updates on my case.

Hope this could help!
