What to do with US License plate?

Hi All,

Today I finally completed my federal and Out of Province inspection for my car and I got the Canadian license plate as well. My query is regarding US license plate - What am I suppose to do with it? Trash it or mail it back to US or just call the state in US and inform them?

You need to call state of issue. Some states are very particular that you return the plates as you can't even cancel auto insurance. Auto insurance will bill you and in case of non payment it may show up in your credit report. Only way to cancel auto insurance is to return plates.
