What to do when sponsor can't support parents

Hi. I hope somebody can help me out with this issue.... My parents sign an affidavit of support for my mom's parents. My grandparents were able to receive green card and are now here in America for a bit over 2 years. With this economy my parents are having trouble with their businesses and are facing bankruptcy. They are having difficulties supporting themselves let alone my grandparents and I myself have just went through bankruptcy. I'm not sure if my grandparents can wait another 3 years in order to get more benefits than just the medicaid that they are receiving. Can anything be done? I read that my grandparents are not allowed to receive foodstamps or any other programs that would let them have their own apartment. Any help would be appreciated. Is there anyway to change their status in the near future or the only thing to do is to send them back??? Please help.

There are lists of benefits that are not subject to sponsorship limitations.

I suggest you and your parents get second jobs to meet your obligations as the benefits for your grandparents are limited.

By the way, why would you thing that the US taxpayers should give your grandparents an apartment when many native born citizens cannot have that opportunity?

Your Grandparents can apply for any benefits they want. The problem is your parents will be on the hook for whatever your Grandparents receive. Not that there is much in the way of programs available anyway. You should check to see whether Wal-mart or someone like that would employ them as greeters.
