What to do if you get laid off before I-485 approved

Hi, my I-485 was filed in March 2002 and currently I have a valid EAD and AP till April 2004. I was wondering if I lose my job before the I-485 approval, what should I do? Can I join another employer and still the process would continue as normal?

According to AC21, you are free to change your employment after your I-485 pending for more than 6 months. Your case has been pending for more than 1 year, so you will be fine if you could find another job.
