Can i ask what to do after mailing DS230 Part1, Part2, DSP-122, Bar code forms, and photos to KCC? Do i need to give them a call to make sure they receive my forms? Please advise me what to do next after mailing? Thanks!

send KCC a mail

hi,
what u need to do is to wait after 4weeks of sending ur forms and send an Email to KCC.they wud then confirm having ur forms.there is no need to panick.Cheers

I would also send KCC an email after a couple weeks, to make sure that they have received your package (if you sent it by registered mail, that's not necessary). After that, you should try to find out, when your interview might be: Look through the visa bulletins of the previous year (remember that the DV year starts in October and lasts till September) and see, when your number in your region would have been below the number listed there (that's when you would have had your interview). However, the speed in which the numbers proceed is different in every year... If you have a low number, you should try to find out how long it takes to get the police certificates from the countries where you have stayed more than a year since you turned 16. In some countries, that can take several months, in others only a few weeks. The police certificates shouldn't be too old by the time of the interview (better not older than 6months)...
The first numbers for DV2009 will be in the September bulletin advanced notification section (will be published around the 15th of August). From then on, you need to check the bulletin every month to see whether you are current in the advanced notification section. If yes, wait a couple days and then contact KCC by email or phone to ask about your interview date.
