I am expecting a professional engineer job offer from US employer.
What should I ask my prospective employer about type of visa. My son has
Admission offer from US university and intend to join in January. Me and
My family have immigration intent. Please advise should I ask for TN,
H1B or EB type visa. Appreciate your replies.
 
be careful, while you might "like to" immigrate to US, until you actually fil e papers for Gren card, you do not have what is defined as immigrant intent.
You should be able to get a TN.

Your em[ployer will have to be the one who sponsors you for Green Card, at some point. THEN, you will have immigrant intent.
 
Thanks for your advice. Can he not sponsor me at the beginning of the process. Should I ask for H1B visa instead on TN.
Can students on TN or H1B get same tuition fee as US citizen.
 
You can ask for either. TN os better for Cdns.
Each state has different rules for tuition for non-residents.
