what the internal updating could be?

I just created a personal account in USCIS.GOV., and added both of my wife and my 485 cases in my Portfolio. It shows both cases have been updated on May 4th, 2004. By USCIS, it means "This is due to internal USCIS processing being performed on your Case, This will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date, but may not result in a different status message.". My case status still says "The FP result has been received on Jan. 21, 2004 ...". So, what this internal updating could be? Does anybody has any ideas?

Hi,
it means u may be close to approval. bcos we also registered the same way as u did and it said the last processing date as 3/17/04 and our cases got approved on april 30th 2004
