What the earliest start date on H1 transfer?

Hi,

I am having my H1 transferred to a new employer. When is the earliest I can start working for my new employer? Do I have to wait for the entire H1 transfer to occur?

Further, my new employer is in TSC jurisdiction, while my old employer is in VSC jurisdiction. Should this be a cause of concern for me?

safe to wait until you got the receipt.

you dont have to wait for the whole time but you can wait until your LCA is approved and you get your H1 receipt back from INS..that way you are quite sure that you can prove that you started working only after you filed for a transfer.
dont see how vsc to tsc should affect the transfer process.
 
can start to work immediatedly as soon as lawyer confirms with a fedex receipt or similar . H1 receipt takes 3-5 months , you dont want to wait till then. different service center is not an issue
