What the bulletin might mean ...

Guys and Gals,

I guess the reality of the bulletin must have sunk in by now. Having had time to look at it and think about it a bit, I have grown more concerned. The nonmovement of WW EB3 is very troubling. Usually when a date stops moving, it indicates a backlog and in the past dates have actually moved back after getting stalled. Although it is to early to tell right now, I would not be surprised if EB3 WW dates stay where they are for a few months and then actually move back a bit. I hope this doesn't happen but the possibility is there.

As for the other EB3s, things do not look better at all. EB3 China did not move at all either. This again is troubling. For us India EB3s, the only reason the dates moved was because we aren't even at April 01. In the next few months we may inch towards April-May 01 but we will most likely get stalled.

Miracles are possible but I think its time to get realistic here. Without a change in the law (and we should NOT count on it) we are looking at atleast another year or year and a half for the dates to get out of 2001. If you are beyond 2001 then I suggest you seriously consider all alternatives and be ready for a long wait.

Again, I am not trying to scare anyone. I am just trying to share my views so people can make informed decisions about their future. It is not good to just sit by and hope for things to happen.

Anything could happen, even the impossible!!

I started my green card process when I got here in 1999. Then I changed my job because of broken promises and lack of clients with my first company.
When I started working with my second company they promise to start my GC all over again in Dec 2000 after the introductory period (just another big lie!)
IT market wasn't really good and I decided to stay a while, to save a little money and start preparing for returning to my country. In March 2001, the company gave me the green light to start my GC under my own expenses.
Then Sep 11 happened, the company closed two branches, and I survived 3 major layoffs. Labor was really painful (almost 2 years).
These long 6 years have taught me a lot, especially to be patient, maybe that's the main reason I'm still here.
I had many nights crying, bad temper, and I couln't see that my greatest treasure(my wife and my children) was suffering because of this process.
Now for me, I don't care much about PDs or Visa Bulletin, if something is going to happen, something will happen.
Even when is really hard to stop thinking on the "holy GC", I try to live my life and enjoy every moment with my family.

I'm sure others have suffer more than me with this process, but I don't think it is the time to give up or surrender.

Let's trust in God, whatever your belief is, He sees us, and He knows about our long suffering, He will deliver, if not this year, maybe the next one.

Many of you, have given me good advices to continue dealing with this process. And I want now to payback to the wonderful people of this forum by giving this advice now:

"Just let's keep our hopes alive"

SAD day

:(
Guys

Today is one of the black day in our immigration history.
My PD is April 2002 and hoped that EB3 India or worldwide will move at least beyond May 2001 which would give us some hope.

Now I have EAD still sticking to my sponsoring company. Thinking whether or not should joing some other company on a permanent basis invoking AC21. Also thinking that GC will now take at least 3 years from today. So it it worth staying in USA as my child is getting older and I am not able to settle down here properly.

Now when this 300k from 245cases labor are approved and come for 485, nothing will move.

I feel sorry for SARAS. He is so close but so far away for getting the GC.

saras, sorry my prediction came almost true for a max of 0-2 mths movement

Hang in on there..Contact your Senators for support to Sen.Arlen Specter's bill

I am very disappointed with the tardy progress in visa dates as well. At this rate, the only reason for hope and happiness is that the dates didn't retrogress further. Duh!

While it is extremely painful, which is what it was with my own unfortunate schlep, the only silver-lining at this point in time we have is the Senator Arlen Specter's Bill, which is being blasted by many, including the Luddite TV anchors like Lou Dobbs and others.

We, for our part, can contact our Senators to make sure that they vote in favor of the Arlen Specter Bill, which may the only silver-lining we may have under the present circumstances.

Until then, just hang in on there. My prayers and good-wishes are there for all of you in this thread.
