That time I was new in the USA and living in Atlantic City.A pretty much new environment,no friends,no family... I was so lonely. Suddenly I came to know one of classmates of my school is living in NYC and I came to visit him.One day me and my friend was talking at the backyard suddenly cops came and started searching the place we were staying.They grabbed my friend,they arrested me too.I had no idea what was going on,I could not even speak or understand English that time.Well, they put me in the jail and for the first time in
my life.I had to stay in the Raikers Island for one day.Later I came to know that my friend had an warrant regarding selling untaxed cigarette. After few months they dropped all the charges against me and the case was dismissed. I've attached a copy of the" certificate of disposition" from the court. In the letter it says:
Arraignment charges: TAX 18140 TAX 18140 TAX 18140
Case disposition Information:
court action: Dismissed and sealed.
Sealed pursuant section 160.50 of the CPL.
MY question is
what should I answer at the question on the N400 "Why you was arrested". should I write the whole story or I just write" some tax related issues and I was not responsible for that" I think big story can lead to lot of questions and I can tell the story if the officer asks at the time of the interview. Please advice. thank u much.
