What\'s the deal with getting FP done early at Oakland or somewhere else

Hi Guys,

Since some of us (and hopefully the rest of you)
are getting FP notices. What is the deal with
getting FP done early at Oakland?

Does Oakland allow you to go before your appointment?
If so what is a good time/day?
Can I take the FP notice to another ASC?
If so which one, what time and day?

i heard of SFO
 San Jose was friendly but then they became stricter,,still some people managed
 to do it early. I also remember some people going to other ASCs to do their FPs.

Bong, My rd and nd are before you. I didn\'t get EAD or FP so far. Have you or your lawyer contacted INS.

RD - 4/23
ND - 6/22
No EAD
No FP
 
oakland did my FP one month early

oakland did my FP one month early !

I went there three days in the morning hrs. one Tue, one Wed and then next Sat.
There is one Indian Supervisor there, tell him that you are planning to travel. On firt and second days he sent me back, but next day he allowd me to FP. I saved one month now..

Chik, New comer we are all in the same boat. I live in San Jose area. It is probably the INS location that matters
 
what my lawyer told me

Hi Bongo,

I too have FP scheduled at Oakland for November.
My lawyer says "many were able to get FP early without problems.
However, control at federal buildings have tightened since Sep 11.
We\'re not sure if this affects people showing up for FPs ahead of
schedule"

I don\'t think it would hurt to try.
