Which number should I use to check the 485 status? Does it begin with EAC or LIN? Where can I find this number - on the 485 receipt or get it from my lawyer?

The EAC number. It is found in the top left hand side of the I-485 receipt notice. This notice usually goes to your attorney (you can ask hime to send you a copy of it)

I am not sure what you mean by LINnumber. The only other number would be the A# number.
