No case process this week
According Washington Post said last week, all INS officers stop 485 approval so that they can have time to refund 485 filing fee paid more by filers. sometime last year, INS increased some appication fee which were not passed in Congress. Now they need the time to check and refund those fee if paid more

Dear INS :
Please allow me to remind you that :
(1) The week after the superbowl is not a federal holiday.
(2) My ex-employer does not deserve the money back. Keep the change and move some files
(3) Stalling for time till March to shift the workload to some poor slob at DHS will not work
(4) Getting case officers instead of interns to count change is not helping your performance rating
(5) get back to work !!!!

Where is the link to that Washington Post article you mentioned??
According to this update, there can be delay in processing MOST cases, because INS now is wrapping up the processing of people in Temporary Protection Status (TPS):
"A recent effort to meet TPS deadlines has resulted in reassigning of resources to this caseload. Resources were pulled from most all form types, resulting in additional delays for many of the applications/petitions. The center expects to complete the TPS applications by the end of January.
