What is welcome letter???PLS ADVICE

Hi All,

Today i received an e-mail from USCIS stating :On October 4, 2006, a welcome notice was mailed for this case. If 30 days have passed and you have not received this notice. Please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283 during business hours.

Does this mean I have been approved? But why doesn't it say If I have been approved or not? If approved when will i get my green card?

Pls Pls Pls Pls reply and let me know what exactly all this info means.

Your I-485 has been approved.
First they send a welcome letter, then a few days after, the green card (approval notice).

08/10/2006: I-485,I-130 submitted and interviewed on
08/22/2006: Appt letter for biometrics received
09/05/2006: Biometrics done
10/05/2006:LUD stating that a welcome letter has been sent

Congratulations, zombie2006. Does DORA adjudicate its cases without an interview typically, or were you special?
 
I did have an interview.In dallas its the same day u have the interview when you actually submit ur i-485 and i-130.

But are u sure "welcome notice has been mailed to you" means i am approved.

Yes, it's in less than 3 weeks. We're all set but the wedding album which is not ready yet (we just have digital pics--I'll print some myself) and the joint lease (I have to renew the lease with my wife and I'll do it prob tomorrow).
