What is the worst may happen if my salary is not enough?

I call the AVM few days ago and the message was they have sent me a letter for more RFE. I think they may ask me for a proof of my employment (I still haven\'t received that letter yet). If they ask me for W2 and pay check, what may happy if my salary is not meet the standard (far from that) of the position that I have used to apply Green Card? I am very worry about that right now! Thanks for the helps!
