What is the validity of the name check/security check

Hi,

I'd like to know the validity of the USCIS/FBI Name Check/Security Check.

Once it passes and your petition is approved, does any other petition filed on your behalf stand any chance of going thru the check again?
(for eg. h1b approval after a lengthy name check. Then filing for GC. Is there a chance that the GC petition might go into a name check too?? with delays?)

Please let me know

Thanks

Sure. I think its almost a certainty that if your name got a hit the first time around, it will do so again. AFAIK namecheck is required during I-485 processing.

Thanks.

In that case do they use the results of the previous name check to minimize the pain they inflict on people(in this case how long would the name check results be valid for).

Doing the check will not be an issue. My only concern is if they do the 'lengthy/painful' part of it again.

Commonsense tells they shouldn't do it to reduce backlog. But we cant ascertain, as its a 'black box' govt. agency.

Let me know

Thanks
