Hi,

I want to kindly ask people here who recently filed their Asylum Application
and had been interviewed at Anaheim Los Angeles office.

How long does it take for you from:
a. Filing (posting) The I-589 Asylum Application
b. Receipt of your I-589 by the office
c. To Date for Biometrics
d. To Interview Letter Invitation
e. To the Interview itself (at the Anaheim office)
f. The Final Decision from Anaheim office.
g. are you still in status or already out of status when you filled the asylum application?
h. are you still in status or already out of status by the time you were interviewed at the Anaheim office?

Please kindly help by giving the detailed answer
and indicate when do you experience this (ie. 1 year ago or 6 months ago)...

The reason why I ask this is because I got different information from several people/lawyer.
Some of them said the Anaheim Los Angeles office is very busy thus it will took a long time before you are getting your interview and some of them said it only took 2months to get interview after you file your application.

Thank You very much

Is there anybody else applied for asylum and interviewed recently in Anaheim office ?
(within the last 3 months)?

Please tell us the timeline (the time it took)
from the time you mail your application up to the interview date for ANAHEIM office.
Thank You.

I had my interview in Anaheim also, It took exaclty 3 months.

Do you mean you got your interview 3 months AFTER the date you mail the application?
That is very long time.
When did you got interviewed, is it this year ?
And where you "In Status" at the time you were interviewed or you were about to go out of status ?
or you already out of status?
Thank You.

Sorry, I had my interview 1.5 months after applying for asylum and I was approved 3 months later. I was in status/ F1.

I started this thread on November 2013, so I was asking this question almost a year ago,

Today,
I know the answer.
apparently Anaheim office had a long wait time from the day you submit your asylum application till you get your interview.
I had been waiting for interview since Mid April,
so far about 6.5 months of waiting (for me) now...

I believe according to the system, you should recieve your invitation before me, than sadsoul friend who applied in January and after that my turn :))). Let see, if it will happen this way, it will prove the system of the schedule: first in, last out.

I don't think it is as clear cut as that though...
I think it is still kinda random :)

I should now forget about interview and think and get ready for my EAD application which in 22 of november
