What is the reason for PP stamping delay?

I am seen posts stating there are delays for stamping PP after getting approval notice. Can anyone tell why is this happening. Is it due to new security checks? How does it work now, do they tell you come back on a specific date, is it for eveyone or case-by-case. I got approved last week, expecting to get notice this week and go for stamping this week at Arlington, VA. Please share you experience, people who went in last two weeks.

Yes...this is due to new system in place

My attorney has also confirmed that. I was also approved last week and will go for stamping soon. They run your info thru the system and it takes aroung 30 mins, but depending on the work load they tell you to wait or come in the afternoon of wait fo the letter. This is what I know but I may be wrong. Lets be in touch thru private messages and we can share the latest info. I am actually travelling to India next week and would be needing a stamp before I go....

what is your AD? are you too Arlington, VA. did you get notice. I did not yet.

I haven\'t recieved the notice....hope to recieve it soon...yes..I have to goto Arlington, VA....
 
got it today

going tomorrow for stamping at arlington. hope everything will be smooth. will post detail here tomorrow. one silly question: do i need to use pencil ITSELF to write A# & name behind photo or can i use pen.
