Can anyone please let us know whats the procedure for getting the restriction of "work only" on the SSN card removed after GC approval?

Thank You..

IT's pretty easy. If you want to be consistent you can go to Social Security office and request that "bad word" "ONLY VALID with work Authorization" removed.

They'll give you same social security number and the new card would arrive in the mail in 2-3 weeks. Then if you want you can give that to HR.

IS there an SSN office in Newark to get the SSN restriction removed?

IS there an SSN office in Newark (near BCIS) to get the SSN restriction removed?

I plan to get my passport stamped on Wed (May 5, 2004). Is there a SSN office nearby where I can go and get it done OR do I need to go to the one near my place (i.e, the one near METROPARK).

Please let us know.

Thank You
