My husband's company will start the process of his GC next year in June and the application will be through california. I want to know how long does it take for GC proccessing to be completed. The company will also apply for my GC or something becz I am his depended. So I want to know how long will it be before I can start working. I am currently on H4 and with the current quota cap I dont think I'll ever get a H1 sponsor becz I do not have an IT degree or experience. Your reply is appreciated

Thanks

It would be the cumalitive of the following :
  • Cal. state labor processing
  • Federal labor processing for Cal
  • 140 processing in CSC
  • 485 proc. in CSC or CP proc.

Your options will open up after labor is approved and your employment eligibility will depend on which stage you follow or what kind of filing you do, how fast you get your EAD, etc.

Get more frustration

If you are going for normal (Non-RIR) green card process, which is advisable now (Lot of RIR cases are not getting approved and going back to non-RIR Que)

Sanfrancisco EDD ( CA State) April 27, 2001. (Now they are processing 2001) If you apply June 2005 , it will take in this pace 3-4 years to get Ist stage approval.

Sanfrancisco DOL (Federal) Processing Dec 2002. Here your papers will sleep atleast 2 years.

Current circumstance it may take cool 5 years before it reaching INS for I 140.

So you have every reason to frustrate. Options, if your company has any branch office in other state (Service centers) go for it.

Thanks
