What is the max duration between H1B Visa approval and entry into US?

Hi All,

What is the time limit within which a person has to enter US after he gets his H1B Stamp in passport (Never been in US before)?

ASAP, other wise your employer has to prove that , still the job is avialable for you.

So in theory, if employer keeps the job offer option open, it does not matter when you arrive to US..I mean after 3 months or 6 months.

But at Port of Entry (POE), immigration officer can stop your entry, some time they verify with your company, if your company forget you or say no such guy or the job is not avialble in phone (since 6 months delay), then you will be deported.
