What is the impact, If my company outsources?

Friends...I got approved on June 24th, 2004. My company is outsourcing entire IT to another company..from october 1, 2004..so i will become emplyee of the new company from october 1st (same location. every thing would be same as now)..people are xpressing diff openios about timeframe.. that one should stick with the company at least 6 months after approval..is there any advise on my situation.

The key is intent. Did you intend to work for the company when applying for your I485? In your case it seems yes. You still intend to work for the company. It’s just a “spinoff.”

The 6 month rule (1 year for some) is typically used to decide how long you should stay before quitting your job and getting a new one.

Your worry is un-necessary.
I know guys who got laid off within a month after GC stamp. The reason, the company does not want to pay the salary as mentioned in LC for GC.
