What is the fastest way to renew a US passport?

I screwed up. I forgot to renew my daughter's US passport in time and now
it will expire in Feb. My home country says a visa applicant need to have
a passport that has at least 6 month of validity from teh date of visa application. But my daught might need a trip as soon as possible.

What is the fastest way to get my daughter US passport renewed
or issued a new one since her current passport has a photo taken at 1 year old. Is there a place you can do it one day in person?

Got it. To get same day renewal, one needs to present a airline ticket
to be eligible. I wonder if one can fake one. Since whether having a ticket
or not is not on the application form so it can not be considered perjury
if you lie you have a ticket when you don't.

you don't have to lie
even if you are not flying withing 14 days but can prove that you need your passport for visas in the next fourteen days you can schedule an appointment.
