Dear friends,
What actually is the Evidence of Support?

Support What?

I'm sure it's different from Affidavit of Support; but I don't know what the Evidence of Support is.

Your answers and comments would greatly be appreciated!
;)

Evidence of Support

Peng,

if you are working in the US, you can attach a letter from your employer stating your salary and position in the company. This will serve as evidence that you can support yourself.

So it's the evidence of support ourselves, not the evidence of support our documents that what have been sent or filled in the forms are true?

Thank's DV EU WIN and Marvadur for your feedbacks! ;)

Any other ideas?

Evidence of Support : it can be any combination of the following :

_ Affidavit of support : form I134 for DV winners signed by a USC or LPR.
_ a job offer in the US : it is safer to obtein a job offer on the company's letterhead and notarized.
_ money in the bank ( on your name ), or other assets : see poverty guidelines for an idea of the amount. ( bank statement)

Also, education and english skills play a role as it will help in finding a job.

The immigration officer determines your potential to become public charge. So the more proofs you provide that you won't become one, the better for you.

For my own DV interview, I presented 2 job offers ( one for me, and on for my husband ), but the lady still wanted a bank statement.

I am not too familiar, but you can for sure sponsor your wife ( both visa and affidavit ) .

For your aunt, you could only sign the affidavit, but not sponsor her for the visa itself ( family-based ).

I believe you can sponsor a family of 10 if YOU as the sponsor ( USC or LPR ) can show sufficient funds for that many people.
You would have to follow the poverty guidelines to determine how much money is needed ( income requirements ).
