What is the correct answer for Q33 in the N400 application?

33. Are you a male who lived in the United States at any time between your 18th and 26th birthdays in any status except as a lawful nonimmigrant?

I entered the US when I was 25 on H1 and got my GC when I was 30.

I answered "No". Now I am not so sure after reading some of the posts here
:confused:

What are my options if my answer was incorrect (I mailed the forms earlier this week!!!). Do I just wait until the interview and explain the snafu? I will get the letter from sss.gov re: my non-registration as well.

Hi malgudi,

I believe that your answer is correct. You were in an non-immigrant status (H-1) until after you crossed 26 years of age.

I came to the USA at age 21 on an F-1 and I got my GC at age 29. I answered "No" to the question, too!

if you answered all yes / no questions to "No", I will wish you luck in your interview.
