What is the best time for doing Medical Examination?

Hello,
I am one of DV-2006 winners.
As I have heard, I can pass some parts of Medical Examination in my country.
Please tell me when should I do them? Are Medical Examination results accepted if the time of doing them is about 6 or 5 months before my interview? Or I should do them exactly before my interview date?
PS: I know that some parts of Medical Examinations must be done in the centers that US embassy determines.

are you doing COnsular processing?

if yes, then get all your shots before you do the medical and bring the proof to your medical exam at a designated medical center (your embassy will provide a list).

Do a medical as close to your interview date as possible. Within a month, if you can.
