What is the best practise if your AOS gets approved while changing jobs

This happened to me.

I got laid of and last day of work 11/27.
Started new job on 01/13 (next year).
I was told you need to get 2 pay stubs
before filing for AC21 forms, but on 01/23
the AOS got approved.

If you had a same or similar job or offer the day the AOS was approved, you are fine.

But you don't file the AC21 docs after AOS right?
It seems like I did something wrong, because the
INS never knew about my new job.
