My reentry permit will be expiring on May 20, 2015. Im currently overseas and my graduation (Bachelor's) date will be on May 23, 2015. There will be a 1 month semestral break starting from April 2015 to May 2015. What would be the best course of action to avoid abandoning my residence? Once I graduate, Ill be heading directly to the US.

Return BEFORE the permit expires, stay a month during your semester break, and then go back for graduation. You won't need the permit for the short graduation trip.

tnx cafeconleche. Do you think that will be fine??? Im worried what will happen after graduation when Im at the port of entry. They might consider me abandoning my residence :(

Don't worry about that. If you travel to the US in April 2015, you'll have a valid reentry permit --no problem there. Then if you leave the US in May 2015 and return by June 2015, that is a 1-month trip which is too short to cause you to lose your green card. If you're still worried, bring evidence of your studies and/or graduation in case you're asked to prove why you were abroad.
