Dear Friends,

What is the actual meaning for Case Assigned to an Officer?

It means you received FP notice.

It means you done with FP and AVM says INS received FP info and process
resumed.

         OR some thing else…
 
It is sitting on

officer\'s desk for final review or approval . It is in a better shape than not yet assigned to an officer . you can expect an approval anywhere within a week to 3 weeks . It again varies.
 
When will be the case actually assigned to an officer?

When will be the case actually assigned to an officer? Strictly after you done with FP (ie, after INS received FP clearance from FBI). OR It could be assigned to an officer before you done with your FP. Please share your opinion
