What is specifically the process for TN?

My girlfriend is a canadian citizen and I, an american. How does my girlfriend get the whole process of the TN stamp started? and once that happens what are the next steps?

The first thing a TN prospect needs to do is find a job which falls under a TN category, and for which she has the required education and/or experience.

Then she takes that job offer, her documentation and $56 to the border, gets her TN and goes to work.
