What is "NIC" for ?

Anybody know what is "NIC" for . my wife was interviewed in sept. last year. her case is EB3 base\'s dependant. my case was approved on DEC.last year and received my plastic card. After over 180 day\'s waiting, my wife\'s case still be pending. just check the status today with officer, she told us my wife\'s case was already transfered to "NIC". What is it? Who can help me out? Thanks in advanace!

Has your wife ever been out of status before? what is your RD or WAC#?
