what is prelimenary process - please help

My RD 9/10/99 ND 9/28/99 FP 9/00 others
REF for Medical test. INS received on March 7th 2001.
Telephone message change to "Your prelimenary process is completed, it will take
another 180 days for the final decession..."
Do I have to wait for another 180 for the approve.

No....What it means is that most of the legwork is done and they will approve as soon as they get response to the RFE (medical in your case).

I just heard the magic word "Approved on March 13th"
The whole process took me exactly 2 and half year.
I learn lot of thing from this site. and I am hoping success
for everybody.
