hi i have got a letter for naturalization interview and my letter says request for naturalization initial interview. does this mean there will be more interviews after this ?? it also says the proceedings can take up to 2 hours. is it a standard form of letter that everybody gets for their interview or i am being asked to come to an initial interview first, before a secondary interview sometime later? hope to hear from valued members soon.
thanks

Initial interview is the formal interview that every applicant goes through. The letter you received has the same generic language for everyone. They tell you it may take up to 2 hours since many times you end up having to wait before your name gets called.
The second interview is the one just before the oath, when you answer oath letter questions and hand it over to IO. It's not a formal interview like first one, but they still call it an "interview".

initial interview = interview with an immigration officer
final interview = oath ceremony -- just before oath ceremony begins, you will be asked if you had any traffic citations after initial interview, traveled after initial interview or got married after initial interview, etc.
