What is my Case Number?

Today I check my bank web site and it shows that my check to VSC has been cashed, there is also a scanned image of my check (as my band doses not mail checks).

What is my Case #... there are 2 numbers and a date on the check..

It says the following

CSCXXXXXXXXX VTXXXXX 12-14-05

As you can see there are 2 numbers one 9 digit and another 5 digit.

I presume that my case number is the 9 digit and priority dates is 12/14/05.

Thank you for your clarification.

My case number was SSC*XXXXXXXXX i.e., 13 characters long. So, your case number would be the CSC number. Not sure what the VT number is, though.

Both the numbers that I have mentioned are the hand written numbers. Its hand written so its not very clear, I cannot tell if its pencil or pen as its a scanned image and not the actual check.

There is definitly 3 distinct groups of numbers and the last one is positively the date which is clearly 12-14-05

Man I cannot make head or tail of what was written, one thing that I do know is that he/she has real bad handwriting.. :D

I just wait till I get the letter in the mail.

File #

I had the same experience. The numbers written on my check (total of 6)were very clear on my check scanned plus the initials LIN. The numbers were exactly the same when I got the letter from USCIS. They just added the * + 000. Therefore, the full the file number was *000XXXXXX. ;)

I have a 6-digit # on my scanned check that starts with LIN. I tried LIN*000xxxxxx but it said status not found.

Probably is too recent and your LIN # is not available yet.
