I would like to know what is the impact for the person whose status is on AOS.

I am presently working with GC sponsoring employer and my H1 is valid (which was extended- change of employer) till 2005. But according to my passport my visa is expired in May 2003. According to the changes made by US govt. do I have to go back India and take visa and come back and work or I can still work?

can anybody focus some light on this will really appreciated.

Thanks

This is one of the examples of completely incorrect reporting about US immigration related issues in Indian press. This report full of misinformation.

You can still continue to work based on your H1 approval. Your visa stamp in your passport is pretty much useless once you enter US. You will need a new visa stamp only if you plan to travel out of US and return in H1 status.
A visa stamp is NOT required to continue legal status in the US.
