What is I-551 Please help

Wasn't I551 a stamp on passport after Green Card process completeed? Is there anyone who has file I551 with initial I485? I am in process of buying a house and I submitted my I485 receipt notice which has RD 03/2002 and the lender asked me if I have filed I551 is this normal?

I-551 is the stamp before getting your actual card. It should be counted as your current permanent residency status for now.

Just for everyones knowledge the coverted GREEN CARD is the I-551 !!!

Here is a line from USCIS website:

Alien Registration Receipt Card (Form I-551), commonly known as a "Green Card"

So, yes you can say I have filed for I-551 (AKA GREEN CARD )
