What does it mean:

I-181 (Creation of Record of Lawful Permanent Resident)

Text: Your application for permanent resident status is being processed. If approved, a new permanent resident card will be mailed directly to you from our immigration card facility. If you do not hear from us within 30 days of the date shown on this notice, please call customer service number at 1-800-375-5283.

Does that mean the name check is cleared and the 485 is approved?

Now it says:

Application Type: I181, CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE

Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On November 30, 2007, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I181 CREATION OF RECORD OF LAWFUL PERMANENT RESIDENCE. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service.

What does it mean ? Is the name check is complete and green card is approved ?

I got it

Hello Gents,

It just meant that my green card is approved. I got the notification yesterday morning that my I-181 is approved and in the evening I got the actual green card in hand.
