What is "has been completed" status ?

Thare are a lot of 485 cases with the following status:

"Processing for your Alien Registration Card or Green Card has been completed. Your INS document will be mailed to you as soon as it is ready"

There is no any specific date associated with this status.

And what's the difference between approved and completed?

Any ideas?

This means the guy has his plastic card in hand (after being approved).

Actually it means that stamping is done and the card will be mailed as and when it is ready.

It does not sound as a rule.
Two friends of mine have plastic card in hands but Status is "Approved" but not completed.

Are you sure it is not something different?

Well, lots of people have their FP's done 8 months back and AVM still says 975-999 days. So nothing with INS is a rule.

I think thats what it means, because that seems most logical, but there is no way to be sure.

In another week, I would complete exactly 1 year since my 485 was filed. I know there are people older than me here, but this whole wait is getting to be extremely extremely extremely extremely frustrating. I really want to see my approval come through now.
